The magazine Web site includes all the news and feature stories of the print publication, as well as photos and links to such Web sites as the BlueHens.com athletics site, and the UDconnection online alumni community, where members can post and view class notes and photos, including wedding and baby photos.

“This new Web site represents another service we are providing for our alumni, parents and friends and an additional way for them to stay involved and in touch with the University,” said David Brond, UD vice president for communications and marketing. “It's also an important step in the University's sustainability efforts for readers who prefer to get their news online or who want to limit the amount of paper they use.”

Each issue of the Messenger highlights news from the campus, including athletics and faculty research, as well as profiles of alumni and information about alumni club activities around the country. Readers also can use the Web site to notify UD of a new address, to submit a letter to the editor commenting on the magazine's content or to access previous issues. If they want to stop receiving the print magazine, they can make that request though the Web site and can also ask to be notified via e-mail whenever a new issue is posted.

The Web site was created by Molly Chappell, senior art director, and Corin Larraga, Web developer, both of the Office of Communications & Marketing.
