At times, alumni need to verify their degree information without necessarily needing to order a diploma or wait for the time involved in printing a formal diploma. There are numerous ways alumni can quickly access degree information without ordering a diploma:
- Official Transcript: Your official academic transcript provides all the details of your academic report including college, major, minor, concentration, and specialization, as well as courses, grades, and grade point index. You can order your official transcript 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and your request will normally be processed within the next business day. For more information, please visit www.udel.edu/registrar/transcripts.
- Unofficial Transcript: Your unofficial academic transcript includes all of the information found on your official transcript as well as additional advisement information, such as deficiency points, repeat codes and test scores (SAT, ACT, PRAXIS, etc.). Your unofficial academic transcript is immediately accessible via your UDSIS. For more information and a step-by-step walk through, please visit www.udel.edu/registrar/transcripts/unofficial.html.
- Degree Verification Letter: A Degree Verification Letter is an official document which verifies your completed degree from the University of Delaware. It includes your name, degree, major, minor, and conferral date. It will take approximately 2-3 business days for your degree verification letter to be processed. For more information please contact Janice Wiley at 302-831-2131.
