3:41 p.m., Aug. 19, 2010----John Quinones, the Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist, will speak at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 21, in the Multipurpose Rooms of the University of Delaware's Trabant University Center.

The presentation will be part of the opening ceremony for Latino Heritage Month 2010.

For almost 25 years, Quinones has worked as co-anchor and correspondent for such popular ABC News programs as Primetime and 20/20.

More recently, his work includes a series of Primetime: What Would You Do? reports that test human nature through hidden camera scenarios.

Other recent work includes reports on Mexican immigrants attempting to cross into the U.S., polygamous marriages in northern Arizona and suicide bombers in Israel.

In addition to the talk by Quinones, the Latino Heritage Month opening ceremony will feature live entertainment and special recognition of the 10-year anniversary of the event at UD.
