3:38 p.m., Sept. 16, 2009----Jeanne Murray Walker, poet and professor of English at the University of Delaware, will give a poetry reading at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 29, in Room 127 Memorial Hall as part of the Department of English Speakers' Series.

Her poems are collected in seven volumes, most recently, New Tracks, Night Falling. One of the poems from that collection has been selected for Best American Poetry, 2009.

Walker's work has appeared in Poetry, The American Poetry Review, The Georgia Review, The Kenyon Review, The Nation, Image, and many other journals and anthologies, as well as on posters in busses and trains.

She has taught English at the University of Delaware for 34 years, and is a frequent speaker at universities, writing festivals, and conferences around the country.
