8:57 a.m., March 18, 2010----The University of Delaware Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management will host its fourth annual Darden Restaurants Foundation Entrepreneurship Summit on April 10-11.
The summit is designed to educate and encourage promising underrepresented business and hospitality students to consider establishing businesses and/or franchises in the hospitality and tourism industry.
The agenda focus is on entrepreneurship, small business planning and franchising.
Invited participants include business and hospitality students from Mid-Atlantic historically black colleges and universities and the University of Delaware.
As part of the popular two-day conference, an annual business plan competition is held, which awards scholarship funds to students from the winning schools.
In addition, the summit will feature 10 signed copies of President Barack Obama's book, The Audacity of Hope.
