9:51 a.m., March 31, 2010----The interdisciplinary Biomechanics and Movement Science (BIOMS) program at the University of Delaware will hold its first annual alumni seminar and reception on Friday, April 9, with featured speaker Michael Lewek.
Lewek, who earned his doctorate in physical therapy at UD in 2000, will deliver two talks in Room 333 of McKinly Laboratory -- “My Life After BIOMS,” from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and a seminar, “Neuromechanics and Motor Learning for Understanding and Treating Gait Following Stroke,” from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
A reception will follow at Kildare's Irish Pub on Main Street in Newark from 4:45-6 p.m.
