9:27 a.m., June 3, 2010----The Delaware Aerospace Academy will hold day and residence programs at the University of Delaware and at the Delaware AeroSpace Education Foundation Environmental Outpost in Smyrna.

Celebrating its 21st year of excellence, the objective of the Delaware Aerospace Academy is to provide students in grades 1-10 with problem solving challenges in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Day academies will be held June 21-25 at UD, with programs titled Destination Sky and Beyond, Destination Space, Destination Flight and Destination Orbit.

Day academies will be held at the Environmental Outpost, with a program titled Destination Ocean to be offered July 5-9 and a program titled Destination Dinosaur to be offered July 19-23.

Day academies will meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Before and after care will be available for all programs except for Destination Ocean.

Destination Moon and Destination Mars residence academies, for students entering grades 7-10, will be offered July 11-16 at the University of Delaware. The residence academies will include five overnights and all meals, and will be held in Clayton Hall on UD's Laird Campus.
