“Delaware: The MUSICAL” is the brainchild of Avi Amon and Drew Rifkin, counselors in UD's admissions office and creators of the “Reading Season” video, which has had almost 17,000 views on YouTube since it was posted late last year.

The new video will highlight why students should choose UD. “Think 'Enchanted' meets the University of Delaware alma mater,” Amon said. “I truly believe that this project will be a positive force on campus, bringing hundreds of people together to help promote UD.”

With an ensemble cast, the production will be fully orchestrated and choreographed.

Now Amon and Rifkin are looking for UD students from all majors for the production. “We need voices, dancers, musicians, people comfortable performing, people interested in film production and social media/marketing,” Amon said. “Even if you can't sing or dance, we want you to be part of this production.”

A special promo video is already online, and there's a Facebook group that students can join for updates.
