10:13 a.m., Feb. 25, 2009----The University of Delaware Library and the Delaware Art Museum announce a lecture entitled “Rossetti's Drawers” by Thad Logan, 2009 Pre-Raphaelite Fellow, on Wednesday, March 4, at 4 p.m. at the Delaware Art Museum, 2301 Kentmere Parkway, Wilmington.

Logan, a lecturer in English and the humanities in the Department of English at Rice University, is the 2009 University of Delaware Library/Delaware Art Museum Pre-Raphaelite Fellow.

She will speak about her research on "Rossetti's Things," a study of material objects, research into the life and work of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and investigations into the connections among various personalities and artifacts associated with the Pre-Raphaelite circle.

Logan's publications include The Victorian Parlour: A Cultural Study (Cambridge University Press, 2001), a study of the decoration of the middle-class Victorian home and the objects collected within it.

The University of Delaware Library/Delaware Art Museum joint Fellowship in Pre-Raphaelite Studies is awarded to scholars conducting significant research in the lives and works of the Pre-Raphaelites and their friends, associates, and followers. Logan is the second recipient of the Fellowship.
