3:02 p.m., April 15, 2009----MAX CMAA, a strategic alliance to promote regional educational opportunities, will hold its inaugural conference on Monday, April 20, at the Marriott Courtyard Newark-University of Delaware and the Exelon Trading Center in Purnell Hall.
The conference will feature a presentation by Arkadi Kuhlmann, chairman and president of ING Direct USA Bank, at 1:30 p.m.
Kuhlmann, who has helped create the world's largest Internet bank with more than six million customers and $77 billion in assets, will speak on the topic “State of the Economy and the Financial Services,” at the Exelon Trading Center.
The conference will begin at 8:30 a.m. with presentations on the impact of internships and social networking on the club management field and hospitality industry.
Technology consultant Mick Blasik will discuss collaborative online software tools at 10:30 a.m. and Karl McCall, beverage manager at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, will provide information on non-alcoholic beverages at noon.
Richard Jakotowicz, manager of UD's Exelon Trading Center, will speak on the topic “Using the Current State of the Stock Market to Your Club's Advantage” at 2:30 p.m.
