Veteran journalist Paul Davies, a 1986 graduate of the University of Delaware, will survey the damage and take a look at possible scenarios and business models for the future during a lecture at 4 p.m., Monday, April 20, in Room 108 Memorial Hall.

Davies, a longtime business reporter, is now the deputy editor of the editorial page at the Philadelphia Inquirer. Prior to that, he was a reporter at the Wall Street Journal, covering health care and later white collar crime.

He spent seven years at the Philadelphia Daily News, where his series of stories on predatory lending was a finalist for a Loeb Award. He covered business at newspaper in Florida and Connecticut, and also worked at Worth magazine.

He has a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University, where he was also a Knight-Bagehot Fellow in business and economics.

The lecture is sponsored by the Department of English.
