A Message from the Officers of the UD Honors Alumni Club

Dear Fellow Honors Program Alumni,

The gift of an Honors education at the University of Delaware is the gift of a community. The Honors Community would certainly not be complete, however, without the many outstanding Delaware graduates who have already shared in the Honors experience. The Honors Program Alumni Club is designed to extend this experience after graduation, and to ensure that the opportunities that make an Honors education unique continue for future students.

Wherever life has taken you after graduation, we strongly encourage you to stay in touch and remain an active part of the Honors Community.

Here are some simple ways you can help and get involved as an Honors Alum:

  • Attend the Honors Alumni Reception at Alumni Weekend 2012 (Friday, June 1, before Mug Night). Reminisce and mingle with fellow alumni, faculty and staff. Get your Honors Alum friends to come, too!
  • Help Recruit Prospective Honors Students. By attending or hosting a recruitment event for admitted students you can help continue the tradition of outstanding talent at the UD Honors Program.
  • Mentor a Current Honors Student. One of the most valuable aspects of an Honors education, mentoring a current student through the upcoming Honors Alumni Network can help students discover new passions and reach their full potential. Contact Associate Director Kristin Bennighoff (kristinb@udel.edu) if you are interested in mentoring opportunities.
  • Donate to the Honors Program. Your donation can help ensure that the opportunities that make the Honors Program so valuable continue and expand. If you are feel you are able to donate, please visit the giving website to make a gift, and be be sure to specify 'Honors Program' in the last box on the list (Other - please specify).

Be sure to check back soon for updates! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Honors Program or either of us personally.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Urick, President (Class of 2008)
Patricia Olson Moore, Vice-President (Class of 1987)
