IT Governance & Client Success
Joe Kempista, Associate VP & Deputy CIO
IT Governance & Client Success (IT-GCS) is often the first point of contact for students, faculty members, and staff members seeking help with technology. IT-GCS focuses on helping the UD community use technology effectively and efficiently. IT-GCS staff members also take the lead supporting IT projects, ONEcards, IT service management, productivity tools for the UD community, and assistance with hardware and software issues through the IT Support Center and Ask IT Service Desk.
Enterprise Systems
Enterprise Systems (IT-ES) is responsible for the specification, development, and implementation of institution-wide, Web-based information services that support the University's core business systems. The unit provides Web design and development services to both administrative and academic clients while maintaining significant responsiblity for, and impact upon, the development of new and improved campus business processes.
Information Security
Amad Sheikh, Chief Info Security Officer
IT Information Security (IT-IS) is responsible for a comprehensive, campus-wide information security and privacy program. IT-IS establishes information security policies, procedures, training, and awareness initiatives designed to protect University information resources, limit liability, and prevent legal and regulatory violations.
Infrastructure and Architecture
Mark Cabry, CTO
Infrastructure & Architecture (IT-IA) is responsible for all central private and public cloud computing systems, Microsoft M365 and Google G-Suite administration, campus-wide networks and Wi-Fi, unified communications services, enterprise architecture, production control, physical maintenance of campus data networking, and telecommunications systems.
Research Cyberinfrastructure
John Huffman, Assoc VP
The IT Research Cyberinfrastructure group (IT-RCI) provides the infrastructure, applications, and services required to support the University's diverse and growing research portfolio. Research support is a key strategic and operation activity of the central IT organization and is regarded as integral to the strategic goals of the University.
University Media Services
Kyle Martin, Director
University Media Services (IT-UMS) is responsible for the planning, management, creation, implementation, and technical support of professional video production, campus and performance events (including Mitchell and Pearson Hall performance venues), classroom technology, AV system installation and maintenance, and technical media support for the University community.
