SNF ITHACA RESEARCH LAB
Established in Spring 2026 by SNF Ithaca Visiting Assistant Professor Dr. Kristie LeBeau, PhD, the Research Lab was created to expand the Initiative's research and evaluation capacity. In its first year, the Lab assembled an inaugural team of one PhD student and three master's students.

Civil Discourse Mapping
Continuing the Civil Discourse Mapping work originally developed by Dr. Shaffer and graduate students, The Research Lab is now tracking how more than 500 colleges and universities across the U.S. integrate civil discourse and constructive dialogue into their missions, programs and campus initiatives. Drs. LeBeau and Shaffer are providing insight into the field. The project will conclude with a publicly accessible data tool.
