Dr. Roger Huston (Ph.D '19) is the president of Williamson University and is an Associate Professor of Management. He is an Affiliate Faculty member at Regent University’s Robertson School of Government, teaching all the core courses on nonprofit organizations, and an Adjunct Faculty member at Liberty University’s Helms School of Government, serving as a dissertation and capstone Chair and Reader for Ph.D. and D.P.A. students. Dr. Huston is also the Founder and Principal Consultant of Faith Works Consulting—an internationally recognized and award-winning management consulting and leadership coaching company—where he works with nonprofit organizations, social enterprises, and small businesses. He has consulted with sole proprietors and some of the nation’s largest companies and industry leaders.

Dr. Huston is a board member for One Cross Community Health and Wellness. He also serves on the Education and Professional Development and Public Policy committees for the Kentucky Association for Economic Development, the Kentucky Institute for Economic Development committee, the Rural Issues and Professional Development committees for the National Rural Economic Developers Association, and the Competitiveness, Education & Workforce, Infrastructure & Technology, Policy & Research, and Small Business committees for the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

Huston graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Religion with Honors from Simpson College. He then earned a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale University. Roger also holds a Master of Public Administration from Iowa State University and a Ph.D. in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware. Roger was a UD Dissertation Fellow, and his dissertation focused on nonprofit faith-based organizations. 

While at the Biden School, Roger served with the Delaware Education Research & Development Center, Center for Community Research & Service, and Center for Applied Demography & Survey Research, where he expanded his research skills in project and program evaluation, participant interviewing, and data collection and analysis. He also collaborated with faculty and staff on issues such as university-community partnerships, community development, nonprofit advocacy, and technology and social change.​
