Staying At UD for Alumni Weekend 2023

Book the dorms or your hotel room early to guarantee overnight accommodations during Alumni Weekend.

Alumni Weekend attendees who register for paid events are invited to stay overnight in the residence halls with friends. Each primary registrant can register for a maximum of one dorm room only. Rooms are available on North Campus, within walking distance to The Green.

Selecting a Dorm: We know how much fun it is to be close to your friends during Alumni Weekend. To make this easier, you are able to select the residence hall and room type. Be sure and let your friends know where to find you so they can select the same dorm.

  • Single Suite (Sleeps two: two rooms sharing one bathroom, one bed in each room)
  • Double Suite (Sleeps four: two rooms sharing one bathroom, two beds in each room)

Residence hall check-in begins at 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon and 1 p.m. Saturday. Check-out on Sunday by noon. Below, expand the North Campus selections for more details.

Registration changes: For assistance with adding or cancelling any part of your reservation prior to May 30 at 4:30 p.m., please email

To see the layouts and types of furniture in various residence halls and rooms, click here. (Please note that only a limited number of the residence hall buildings listed are available for Alumni Weekend accommodations.)

Alumni Weekend guests who register for a residence hall room will receive a room key, a building fob for residence hall access and a lanyard.

Keys will only be distributed to the suite purchaser as well as a designated roommate. Roommates who are not initially identified when registering can get a key during check-in only if the purchaser is present to vouch for them.

All keys must be returned at checkout. If a guest loses a key, the lock replacement charge is $180. This will be charged to the primary registrant of the room. Non-refundable charges will apply immediately upon checkout if room keys, access cards or fobs are not returned. Please keep this in mind when deciding how many keys to request and who will receive them. We apologize for the inconvenience; however, rooms are being occupied by students directly following Alumni Weekend, so rooms must be rekeyed immediately, making refunds unavailable.

Changes to your registration: Housing changes to your registration must be made by emailing

Linen Packages (Disposable): Disposable linen packages are available for $30. You can order in advance and pick it up when you arrive. Linen packages include a pillow, pillowcase, two sheets, towel, washcloth, soap and shampoo. Blankets will be supplied upon request and available in the check in area.

Wireless: Both locations offer free wireless access through Eduroam with a UD email address. Guest access instructions will be available at check-in for those without a UD email.

  • In the event of a fire alarm or other emergency, please contact UDPD at 302-831-2222 or by using the blue light phone at inside corridors or outside to report the emergency.
