Payments and Withdrawals

Students on University of Delaware Travel Study programs pay a Program Fee and Tuition & Fees for the semester or session. See the individual program website for cost information. Although Program Fees usually cover round-trip airfare, housing, medical insurance and excursions, the specific items covered by your Program Fee may differ; check with the program’s faculty director or program coordinator for details.

PAYMENTS

Program fees will be charged directly to each student’s UD account as follows.  Payments are made via My Finances in UDSIS. 

  • $2,000 initial payment - due within 10 days of acceptance.
  • Balance of the Program Fee/Tuition/Fees – charge posted to UD account after acceptance; payment due the semester/term before your travel (see dates posted on your bills).

 

WITHDRAWALS

If you have applied to a program, but would like to withdraw your application, login and click the “My Checklist” link to submit the Request to Withdraw Form.


 

REFUNDS

 

We begin making non-refundable payments to airlines and program vendors once you have been accepted. Refunds of the Program  Fee are at the sole discretion of IGS. If you withdraw your application after being officially accepted, you will be responsible for paying a $500 withdrawal penalty and all costs that have been spent or committed on your behalf. If those costs exceed the portion of the Fee that you have already paid, you will be responsible for paying the difference, up to the cost of the entire Program Fee.


 

MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS

 

If you are offered acceptance to more than one program in the same term, you will have 24 hours to make a final decision. Within those 24 hours, you must withdraw all but one application for the term. Failure to do so may result in you being charged multiple Program Fees.



CANCELLATIONS

 

IGS reserves the right to cancel a program at any time due to under-enrollment, safety, health, or security issues, staffing issues, or any other relevant reason. If your program is cancelled, you will receive a full refund of all Program Fees paid.
