Michelle S. Rodgers brought her visionary leadership to the University of Delaware (UD) in April 2012.  As Associate Dean and Director of Cooperative Extension and Outreach she provides overall leadership for programs, personnel and the organizational development of UD Cooperative Extension and integration of Extension across the University. She is past co-chair of the Council on Community Engagement at UD.

Dr. Rodgers applies 30 years of Extension experience to foster collaborations that serve Delaware’s agriculture industry, families and communities while delivering outcomes through statewide programs.  Engaged on the national scene, Dr. Rodgers currently is Project Director for the CDC funded EXCITE project around immunization education and chair of the Extension Health Innovation Task Force.

Michelle’s career includes serving as Associate Director at Michigan State University and Regional Director and agent at Penn State Cooperative Extension.  Her graduate degrees are from The Pennsylvania State University in Rural Sociology and in Agricultural and Extension Education.
