Leveraging partnerships with NOAA, Delaware's coastal management agencies, and local nonprofits, we offer the support students need to prepare for their future as coastal researchers, managers, and policymakers. Our fellowships span a range of interests and enable students to make a real difference for Delaware's coast while carving out their own path for the future.

2026 Delaware Sea Grant (DESG) Extension, Education, and Research Internship (EERI)


The Delaware Sea Grant (DESG) EERI is an opportunity to dive deep into MAS programs and play an integral role in their planning and implementation and gain practical research experience. It will allow the intern to understand the tremendous breadth of topics, including coastal hazards and preparedness, coastal ecology, environmental education, fisheries, social science, and climate change, and the required skills to be an effective extension-educator. Download this PDF to learn more about the internship and instructions on how to apply.

2026 Community Engaged Internship: Science outreach in urban Delaware


Delaware Sea Grant is seeking an undergraduate student intern who is interested in strengthening community connections with nature and science, tackling litter and marine debris, as well as promoting environmental literacy, in Wilmington and the Route 9 Corridor.
