Employee Fitness Classes

Employee only fitness classes provide exercise in a fun, upbeat environment designed to encourage participation and exercise adherence. Instructor will tailor the class to the fitness levels and interests of registered participants.

Participants must register and pay for the entire package in advance of attending this class. 

Once registered via the HealthyU registration system, download the waiver form and bring it to your first class (only one form needs to be completed for each calendar year).

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Ashtanga Yoga
This dynamic type of yoga features a series of poses synced with the breath. Although geared toward the beginner, this class is sure to help you relax while giving you a great workout.

Balance & Core
The purpose of balance is not only for fall prevention, but to help improve our overall function and fitness. This low-impact class will combine balance and agility drills with core exercises to make you stronger and more stable.

Boot Camp
This total body conditioning class will work you out from head to toe. Using various drills, you will work on balance, strength, agility, and core. This interval class is sure to keep you on your toes and allow you to push yourself to the next level. Whether you’re an athlete, or looking to try something new, this class is for you.

Cardio Tone
This class includes a variety of muscle toning and body sculpting techniques utilizing step platform, exercise bands, medicine ball, weights and body bars.  YOU control the intensity of your work out! Intermediate to advanced level.

Couch to 5K
This class will offer 2 groups- one for the newcomers and will focus mainly on walking, and one for a more intermediate to advance runner/walker looking to improve their 5K time. Our running guru will guide you through an 8 week program, helping to build your endurance, just in time for the Alumni 5K!

No Sweat Express
Break away from your desk and re-energize yourself with our "No Sweat Express." The exercises are designed to increase flexibility, joint stability, balance, coordination, agility, muscle strength and cardiovascular endurance. Join us for an effective workout with efficiency in mind.

Pilates
Pilates is a total body conditioning class that focuses on postural alignment, core work, and controlled breathing. This class is sure to lengthen, strengthen, and ease your mind!

Step
Includes choreographed routines which feature the use of a step for a fun and challenging step workout. STEP aerobics is a low-impact, high-intensity workout where the intensity is determined by the speed, travel and execution of the movement. Recommended for anyone who has at least some group class experience.

Taiji
This ancient Chinese form of exercise will combine a series of low-impact exercises with deep breathing to help you achieve strength and relaxation.

Yoga
This yoga class will focus on flow yoga. Focus on the breath in combination with various poses will help strengthen your body and your mind. Whether you are a yoga junkie or just starting out, this class will be sure to challenge all levels of strength and decrease of stress.

Zumba Gold
Have you ever wanted to try Zumba, but been too intimidated to sign up? Then Zumba Gold is for you! This beginner Zumba class is geared to teach you all of the Zumba steps set to the same exciting, up-beat music for a great calorie-burning workout!


Zumba
This workout combines high energy and motivating music with synchronized dance movements designed for any fitness level. The routines feature aerobic fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Want to burn some calories and have fun? Then Zumba is for you!
