Employee Fitness Classes

Employee-only fitness classes provide a fun and upbeat way to stay healthy and fit. Our classes are welcoming to all fitness levels and the instructors will tailor the class to meet your needs.

When you register for an employee class, you are guaranteeing your spot in that class for the entire session.  This results in the class progressing together in their fitness goals while getting to know one another.

Once registered in HealthyU, please download a waiver and bring it to your first class (only one form needs to be completed per calendar year).

If your class balance is not paid by the 2nd week of the session, your spot will be canceled and made available to someone else.

If the University is closed, employee classes will not meet and will not be made up.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Balance & Core- Balance is not only for fall prevention, but helps improve our overall function and fitness. This low-impact class will combine balance and agility drills with core exercises to make you stronger and more stable.

Cardio Strength- This class will vary each week. Some classes will focus on strength and body sculpting techniques, while other will focus on improving your cardio. YOU control the intensity of your work out while improving all aspects of your personal fitness.

Foundational Yoga- This style of yoga is geared for the beginner, but can help even the most experienced improve their postures. The various poses will be done both seated and standing, and focus on technique and safety.

Yoga- This yoga class will focus on flow yoga. Focus on the breath in combination with various poses will help strengthen your body and your mind. Whether you are a yoga junkie or just starting out, this class will be sure to challenge all levels of strength and decrease of stress.

Zumba Gold- Have you ever wanted to try Zumba, but been too intimidated to sign up? Then Zumba Gold is for you! This beginner Zumba class is geared to teach you all of the Zumba steps set to the same exciting, up-beat music for a great calorie-burning workout! Zumba gold features more verbal cues and instruction.

Zumba- This workout combines high energy and motivating music with synchronized dance movements designed for any fitness level. The routines feature aerobic fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Want to burn some calories and have fun? Then Zumba is for you!
