Dana Herbert, BE '98
Pastry chef and entrepreneur
Dana Herbert entered the University of Delaware planning to become a restaurateur and, after graduation, went on to earn additional degrees in culinary arts and in pastry. Today, Herbert is head chef for the Delaware River and Bay Authority and also runs a specialty baking business, Desserts by Dana. His custom-made cakes and sugar sculptures are popular for weddings, birthdays and other special occasions and have been featured in such magazines as American Cake Decorating.
