Miscellaneous wage employees are those employees not occupying approved line items in the University budget, including researchers who are hired without expectation of permanent employment and are paid on an hourly basis from departmental or unit miscellaneous wage funds. Normally individual miscellaneous wage employees may not work in excess of 1,000 hours in any fiscal year.
