Men’s tennis lands in ITA national rankings for first time

Blue Hens check in at 45th out of 75 ranked teams

For the first time in program history, the University of Delaware men's tennis program is ranked in the ITA National Rankings, the organization announced Tuesday. The Blue Hens check in at 45th out of the 75 ranked teams.

Delaware is off to a hot start on the campaign, posting a 5-0 record with wins over William & Mary, Penn State, Penn, Villanova and Bucknell. UD is outscoring its competition 25-7 this season.

The Blue Hens are the only team ranked in the CAA and check in ahead of Power 5 programs like LSU, Auburn, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Miami, Florida and Clemson, to name a few.

The Hens return to action on Friday when they host Bryant at Delcastle Tennis Center at 12 p.m.
