Shim is an adjunct professor at SPDC and is working toward her Ph.D. in history and urban studies from Michigan State University.

Meet the candidates

Candidates have been invited to visit the University of Delaware, where they will tour campus, meet with key stakeholders and present at an open public forum. Each forum will take place in the Morris Library’s Class of 1941 Lecture Room from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. with

● Trevor Nelson on Sept. 20;

● Jeffrey M. Palis on Sept. 22; and

● Irene Shim on Sept. 25.

After public presentations have concluded, members of the University community will have the opportunity to submit their feedback online.

“At the helm of IGS operations, the director will play a key role in the continuation of the University’s internationalization efforts,” said Okagaki. “We look forward to seeing how this person will build on the University’s existing strengths in international education and utilize their years of expertise in the field to enhance intercultural learning, expand international programs and prepare our students as global citizens in visionary ways.”
