Summer professional development

Summer business bootcamps focus on project management, business analysis

The University of Delaware’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS) is offering a week of intensive professional development programs this summer, taking place June 12-16 on UD’s Newark campus.

The Summer Business Advantage Bootcamps are comprised of four project management offerings, as well as a one-week business analysis program. The programs represent intensive boot-camp-style offerings of popular PCS business programs, like the long-standing Project Management Certificate and Business Analysis Certificate.

• June 12-14 — Project Management Foundations Bootcamp (three days).

• June 15-16 — CAPM Exam Prep Course (two days).

• June 12-13 — PMP Exam Prep Course (two days).

• June 13-15 — Advanced Project Management Bootcamp/Project Management Office (PMO) Building Blocks (three days).

• June 12-16 — Comprehensive Business Analysis Bootcamp (five days).

The project management offerings are strategically structured so that participants can pursue intensive career development in project management by enrolling in the three-day Project Management Foundations Bootcamp and the two-day CAPM Exam Prep Course back to back.

The two project management exam prep programs are aimed at professionals seeking the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) credentials, which are the most nationally and internationally recognized designations for project managers. Both exam prep courses are offered in cooperation with the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI).

The Business Analysis Bootcamp is an intensive program aimed at professionals seeking to learn the skills, techniques, and tools needed to be successful business analysts, and who may be preparing to pursue the Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA), the Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA), or the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) credential from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).

These programs are offered through UD’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies. UD students and UD alumni are eligible for a discount when enrolling. Other discounts include a military/veterans discount, and a group discount when two or more individuals from one business or organization register for the program. For the project management offerings, members of PMI Delaware Valley Chapter receive a discount, as well as graduates of the PCS Project Management Certificate.
