The University of Delaware Outdoor Pool will open for the summer on Sunday, May 28.

The pool features a splash pool, waterslides, more than 300 lounge chairs, picnic area, snack bar and more. A summer swim team and swim lessons are also available.

View pool hours here. Lap swimming hours are noon-1 p.m. and 6 p.m.-close.

There are several membership options for UD employees, students and community members. UD students can purchase access for $5 per day. Full-time UD employee membership options include: $5 daily rate, $185 individual season and $295 family season. Family memberships are valid for the first four members of a family with a $10 charge per additional member. UD students and employees must provide a valid UD ID at time of purchase to receive the discounted rate. All purchases must be made on site.

The Outdoor Pool also hosts a variety of fun events throughout the summer, including its Opening Day Party on May 28. The day will include several fun activities, including entertainment from Bruce Productions from noon-2 p.m., the UDairy Creamery Moo Mobile with $1 single scoops from 1-3 p.m., and free pool noodles for the first 50 kids.
