Shamrockfest returns with food, fun in Perkins, Trabant and CSB

The University of Delaware’s Shamrockfest makes its triumphant return on Saturday, March 18, with games and giveaways for all UD students.

Wherever students’ plans take them on Saturday, they can stock up on all the latest freebies or at least score some free food during their travels:

1. Breakfast buffet in Trabant Food Court from 8-11 a.m., featuring not-so-Irish favorites like breakfast sandwiches, muffins and donuts.

2. Breakfast buffet at Perkins Concourse from 10 a.m.-noon featuring not-so-Irish favorites like a pancake bar with bacon, sausage and eggs, muffins, donuts and pastries.

3. Professional face-painting in Perkins from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

4. Adult coloring, all supplies provided, with Zen music in Perkins from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

5. Tie-dye with Opt4, all supplies provided, on Perkins Patio from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

6. Make-your-own stuffed animals in Perkins from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

7. Custom photo booth pictures in Perkins from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

8. Complimentary UD Cycle Class in Carpenter Sports Building/Little Bob Cycle Studio at 10:30 a.m.

9. Custom airbrush tattoos in Perkins from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

10. Complimentary BODYPUMP class in Little Bob 171A at noon.

11. Tater tot bar with other savory snacks including wings and pizza bites in Perkins Concourse from noon-3 p.m.

12. Caricature portraits in Perkins from 1-3 p.m.

13. Quizzo and prizes in Perkins West Lounge at 11 a.m.

14. And 1 p.m.

15. Assorted door prizes and baskets drawn via raffle at 11.a.m. in Perkins.

16. And noon.

17. And 1 p.m.

18. And 2 p.m.

19. And 3 p.m.

20. Bagels and yard games on the Little Bob lawn from 3-6 p.m.

21. Dodgeball in Little Bob Gym 1 from 3-6 p.m.

Students can take advantage of regular admission (free) for four Blue Hen home games: softball vs. Rhode Island at 10:30 a.m., men’s lacrosse vs. Saint Joseph’s at 1 p.m., baseball vs. Penn State at 1 p.m., and softball vs. Cornell at 1 p.m.

Also, 91.3FM, WVUD campus radio, will close out Saturday’s festivities with a free Battle of the Bands concert in Trabant from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. as part of the Trabant Now series.
