Comedian Brian Regan, who holds the record for most stand-up comedy performed on Late Show with David Letterman, will headline the comedy show at this year’s University of Delaware Parents and Family Weekend.

The 2017 PFW Comedy Show will be held Friday, Oct. 13, beginning at 8 p.m. in the Bob Carpenter Center. Tickets will go on sale at UD box offices and online on Aug. 1.

In 2015, Regan became the first entertainer to host a live stand-up special when he performed Brian Regan: Live from Radio City Music Hall. One of Jerry Seinfeld’s “favorite, favorite stand-up comedians,” Regan’s praise has been sung by the likes of fellow funny guys Chris Rock, Jimmy Fallon, Dennis Miller and Bill Burr. Entertainer Patton Oswalt perhaps put it best: “Honestly, Brian Regan’s the best stand-up working today. Period.”

Featured in Top Five and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, Regan is no stranger to the silver screen but stand-up remains his focus. Fans can brush up on his comedic style via CDs and DVDs available online, or from special downloads available on his website.
