July 27, 2017
Celebrities confirmed for basketball game at The Bob
The 15th annual Duffy’s Hope celebrity basketball game benefiting youth programs will be played at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 5, at the University of Delaware’s Bob Carpenter Center.
Over the years, the star-studded event has featured celebrity guests. This year Duffy's Hope will partner again with talent acquisition firm Agency for Artists to continue to provide an exhilarating experience for game attendees. Celebrities confirmed include award-winning teen sports star Mo'Ne Davis, KC Undercover’s Tammy Townsend, actor Christian Keyes, actor Bobb’e Thompson, rapper Matt Ox, singer and TV personality Ray J, actor Jackie Long and Teen Summit speaker Angela Yee and more.
This Duffy’s Hope event highlights the importance of supporting quality youth prevention programs. There is a great joy in being a helping hand to unlocking a youth’s full potential, according to founder and CEO Duffy Samuels. “I believe that dreams do come true, that long shots can become sure shots, and that’s why we strive to enrich and inspire youth to dream of a brighter future,” Samuels said. “This unmatched fan-favorite experience remains one of the most anticipated events held annually two weeks prior to the start of school.”
The event will start at 6:30 p.m. There will be special presentations, interactive games, contests, giveaways, opportunities to meet celebrities and to get autographs and take pictures, and to receive valuable community information.
Tickets are on sale now. For more information on celebrities participating in the games and to purchase tickets, which range from $20-$75, visit the Duffy’s Hope website or call 302-652-3532.
