Feb. 7-9: SMDC orientation

Library offers Student Multimedia Design Center orientation sessions

The University of Delaware Library is offering members of the campus community an opportunity to learn about the Student Multimedia Design Center, located in the lower level of the Morris Library, and the services it offers during orientation sessions scheduled Feb. 7-9.

Orientation sessions are open to all UD students, faculty and staff. Each session will begin with an informative tour of the studios, classrooms and general computing areas that comprise the Student Multimedia Design Center.

Participants will learn about the multimedia services and other library services offered by the center.

Participants will meet at the SMDC service desk at the start of each orientation. If people have interest but the times offered do not work for their schedules, they are invited to schedule an orientation at their convenience by using the AskSMDC form.

Identical sessions are available on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 12:30-1 p.m.; on Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 3-3:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Feb. 9, from 10-10:30 a.m.

Sessions are available at no charge. Seating is limited and registration is required. For a complete listing of workshops and to register online, go to the website.

Those who attend are welcome to use the resources of the University of Delaware Library on-site. All visitors to the Morris Library need to have photo identification to enter the building, e.g., a UD ONEcard, a U.S. driver’s license or a government-issued or school-issued photo ID.

Call 302-831-2432 or email lib-workshops@udel.edu with questions regarding the workshops.
