UD Library to present ‘Introduction to the New RefWorks’ on Jan. 12

RefWorks is an online citation management tool used to import and organize citations and generate bibliographies or reference lists, and the University of Delaware Library will offer an introductory workshop on Jan. 12.

“Introduction to the New RefWorks,” co-sponsored by the Office of Graduate and Professional Education, will provide hands-on practice with using the new interface for RefWorks.

Topics to be covered include setting up an account; exporting references from research databases, DELCAT Discovery and Webpages; storing full-text articles as attachments within RefWorks; annotating attachments; creating and sharing folders for references; and creating a bibliography or reference list.

RefWorks is available from the Library Databases webpage.

“Introduction to the New RefWorks” will be offered from 2-4 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12, in Room 114 on the first floor of Morris Library. Presenter will be Dianna McKellar, librarian, Reference and Instructional Services Department.

This workshop is available at no charge and is open to University of Delaware faculty, staff and students. Seating is limited and registration is required. To register online, go to this website.

All visitors to the Morris Library need to have photo identification to enter the building, e.g., a UD ONEcard, a U.S. driver’s license or a government-issued or school-issued photo ID.
