March 16: Startup Madness
February 22, 2017
UD’s spring Startup Madness Pitch Party announced
The University of Delaware’s Horn Program in Entrepreneurship will host its Startup Madness Pitch Party from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, March 16.
The event is free, but registration is required. To attend or participate, register via the Startup Madness event page.
This “March Madness” themed edition of the Horn Entrepreneurship’s annual spring pitch competition encourages students to “slam-dunk” their pitching skills and showcase their best entrepreneurial ideas in a fun and friendly environment.
Contestants will be given 90 seconds to pitch their business ideas to an audience and panel of accomplished judges. The “Final Four” winners will be awarded a total of $1,200 in Venture Development Center cash to be used toward the development of their business.
Horn Entrepreneurship promises lots of excitement at an event that will include a themed buffet, concession stand snacks, raffle prizes and, most importantly, 16 exciting startup pitches.
The competition will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Venture Development Center at 132 E. Delaware Ave. Early appetizers will be served at 5:30 p.m.
Last spring’s Tiki Pitch Party was a great success and attendance was sold out. Students are encouraged to register early to save a spot.
Registration will end at 11 p.m., Friday, March 10.
