Wall Street Journal’s Joann Lublin to sign books at campus event

Joann S. Lublin, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, will sign copies of her book Earning It from 3-4:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 7, at the Barnes and Noble UD Bookstore on the University of Delaware’s Newark campus.

The book, subtitled Hard-Won Lessons from Trailblazing Women at the Top of the Business World, tells the stories of more than 50 executive women who broke the glass ceiling and reached the top rungs of the corporate ladder in a variety of industries.

The women who are profiled offer insights and lessons on leadership from their own careers, including the obstacles they faced and the battles they won and lost.

Lublin, who is management news editor for The Wall Street Journal, was among the first women reporters at that newspaper and created its first career advice column in 1993. She became deputy bureau chief of the Journal’s London bureau, its first run by women.

In 2003, she shared a Pulitzer Prize for stories about corporate scandals.

Earlier in the day on March 7, Lublin will take part in a panel discussion and deliver the luncheon address at the 2017 Corporate Governance Symposium hosted by the University’s John L. Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance.

Copies of Earning It are available for purchase at the bookstore.
