CEOE dean search finalists

Three College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment dean finalists to visit campus

Three candidates who are finalists for the position of dean of the University of Delaware’s College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment will be on campus between Feb. 21 and March 8 for interviews and to meet with administrators, faculty, staff and students.

The three were selected from more than 20 applicants, said Babatunde Ogunnaike, dean of the College of Engineering and chairperson of the search committee.

“We’ve had a great deal of interest in this position from many outstanding candidates, and coming up with a list of three from such a strong group was difficult,” Ogunnaike said. “Now that we’ve done so, we encourage members of the University community to take the opportunity to meet these finalists, get to know them and provide the committee with feedback.”

In addition to meetings with various groups of administrators, faculty, staff and students, each candidate’s visit to campus will include time for an open presentation. All presentations will be held in Pearson Hall Studio 311 and Cannon 104 simultaneously. The schedule for the open sessions appears below.

A secure website has been set up to provide information about the candidates, including their schedules and curriculum vitae. In addition, members of the UD community are encouraged to visit the site to provide feedback about each candidate.

Candidate 1: Feb. 22, presentation, 1:30-2:30 pm; CV and schedule available Feb. 20.
