University of Delaware freshman Brooke Pilkington has garnered Colonial Athletic Association women’s tennis singles player of the week accolades.

Pilkington guided UD to team wins over George Mason (7-0) and Navy (5-2) with her play in No. 1 singles.

The rookie cruised past George Mason’s Sydney Green, 6-0, 6-1, and followed with a hard-fought 6-1, 0-6, 6-1 triumph over Navy’s Amanda Keller.

Pilkington has won three straight and currently leads the Hens with 14 singles wins on the year, including a 3-1 mark in top-flight dual match play.

UD returns to the courts this Sunday as the Blue Hens host George Washington at 3 p.m. at DuPont Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware.
