Annual African American Read-In to feature passages, poems
In celebration of Black History Month, the University of Delaware’s Department of English is hosting an African American Read-In at 4:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, in the third-floor lounge of Memorial Hall.
All UD students, faculty and staff are invited to bring a passage or poem by an African American author to read at the public event.
Begun in 1990, the African American Read-In is a national event sponsored by the National Council of Teachers of English. Over a million readers participate every year.
