Messenger magazine now available online
The latest issue of the University of Delaware’s Messenger magazine—which features an in-depth cover-story of the challenges and achievements of UD’s student veterans, whose presence and power on campus have grown rapidly in an era of global American military activity—hits mailboxes this week and is currently available online.
The print edition of the publication is sent to more than 160,000 UD alumni, parents and friends, delivering stories of the University’s outstanding programs and people to a national audience, and giving graduates a way to stay in touch no matter where they live.
Other issue highlights include:
Personal stories of accomplishment from students who participated in the Plastino Scholars program, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
A look at the innovative spirit and astounding achievements of the students and alumni entrepreneurs who won this year’s Hen Hatch competition.
A peek behind the scenes of Blackhawk Down author Mark Bowden’s new book Hue 1968, which explores the Vietnam War’s most politically consequential battle and was researched with vital assistance from a Vietnamese UD graduate student.
Messenger readers are invited to submit feedback and story ideas via email to TheMessenger@udel.edu.
