April 10, 2017
Student chapter to mark 10 years of engineering sustainable solutions in developing communities
The University of Delaware student chapter of Engineers Without Borders will hold its 10th annual benefit dinner in the Patrick T. Harker Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Laboratory from 6:30-9:30 p.m., Thursday, April 20.
The event will feature multicultural food, guest speakers, a silent auction and project updates from the organization’s local service initiatives and international projects in Malawi and the Philippines.
“This year we are very excited to welcome EWB-USA founder Dr. Bernard Amadei,” says Noah Kennedy, a sophomore chemical engineering student and publicity co-chair for UD-EWB. Earlier in the day, Amadei will address global engineering for a small planet when he delivers the annual Arnold D. Kerr Lecture in Engineering Mechanics and Design.
The cost of the benefit dinner is $30 for current UD students and $60 for others. A cash bar will be available.
