May 26: Adelante, Kente Stole ceremonies

Campus community invited to join Latino/Hispanic, black graduates in celebration

The University of Delaware Center for Black Culture, part of UD’s Division of Student Life, will hold the Adelante graduation ceremony for Latino/Hispanic students and the Kente Stole graduation ceremony for black students, both on Friday, May 26, in Clayton Hall.

All members of the University community are invited to attend these annual ceremonies, which recognize the achievements of graduating students while affirming the contributions of family members and supporters. All seniors participating in both ceremonies have already registered and been confirmed. 

The Adelante ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m., May 26, in the auditorium of Clayton Hall. Those who plan to attend are asked to RSVP online before May 19. To view a flyer about the Adelante ceremony, click here.

The Kente Stole ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m., May 26, in the ballroom of Clayton Hall. Those who plan to attend are asked to RSVP online before May 19. For a flyer about the Kente Stole ceremony, click here.
