Horn Program’s VentureOn accepting applications for student participants

Applications are open for the University of Delaware Horn Program in Entrepreneurship’s VentureOn program until Friday, Sept. 9.

VentureOn provides resources and support to help students hatch and grow businesses. The program provides thought leadership on topics like innovation, entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education as well as hosting programs, activities and events to forge connections between UD students, faculty, staff, alumni and the entrepreneurial community.

VentureOn participants also receive 24/7 access to the program’s home in the Venture Development Center (VDC) and the center’s resources, including:

• Collaborative work spaces and conference rooms;

• Private mentoring;

• 17-foot glass Inspiration Wall for brainstorming, idea conception and idea development;

• Technology resource center with Mac and PC workstations offering the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro X;

• 3-D Printing;

• Nine LED TVs equipped with web browsers, webcams and more;

• Media production resources including video, printing and copying;

• High-speed internet access (wired and wireless); and

• Storage lockers.

VentureOn participants receive a $250 per semester credit that they can apply to benefits like media and promotional resources, supplies needed for proof of concept testing, tickets to Horn Program events and even coffee to help energize work sessions.

Participants also receive scheduling priority for mentoring sessions, access to VDC spaces, discounted business services and presale ticket purchases.

All UD graduate and undergraduate students who are in good academic standing are eligible to apply to become participants in the VentureOn program.
