Provost Grasso hosts reception to congratulate new, promoted faculty
University of Delaware Provost Domenico Grasso and his wife, Susan, hosted their annual “Hail and Well Done” reception on Sept. 9 to welcome new faculty members and congratulate newly promoted and tenured faculty members.
UD President Dennis Assanis and his wife, Eleni, joined the Grassos this year for the event held in the Roselle Center for the Arts Courtyard. Despite the intense heat and humidity, more than 100 faculty and family members attended, along with University mascots YoUDee and Baby Blue, who were not shy about mingling with guests and posing for photos.
“Susan and I started this tradition as a way of welcoming and honoring the faculty members who are vital to the success of our great University,” Grasso said. “We have an excellent team of educators here at UD, and I am proud of their hard work and commitment to our students.”
