UD Votes

New online resource UD Votes makes it easy for students to vote

With the 2016 election rapidly approaching, it’s important for University of Delaware students to register to vote and ensure that their voices are heard.

But the process of voting can be confusing, especially for new voters or students who can’t make it home to vote.

Seeking to solve that problem is UD Votes, an online resource created for UD students that helps students to:

• Register to vote;

• Find information on absentee ballots (for students who won’t be present to vote in their home states);

• Locate their polling place;

• Check their voter registration status; and

• Access state-specific information on how to vote as a college student.

Susan Murphy, instructor in the Department of Business Administration at UD’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics, created UD Votes as a tool for students to easily access information on the upcoming elections.
