CEEE teacher training workshops have ‘multiplier effect’

Scott Bacon, program coordinator at the University of Delaware’s Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship (CEEE), recently discussed the "multiplier effect" of the CEEE’s teacher training workshops.

The mission, he explained, is to work with and develop teachers, providing resources and training on economics, personal finance and more, so that teachers can share these critical subjects with other teachers and their students.

After receiving much benefit from attending CEEE workshops as a teacher himself, Bacon said that he’s now very happy to be able to return the support."I feel like it's my duty to share that with other people."

The workshop featured in this video focused specifically on teaching about subjects such as economics and personal finance as they relate to elections, like the upcoming presidential election.

Chris Clarke, a student in the CEEE’s Master of Arts in Economics and Entrepreneurship for Educators (MAEEE) program, led the workshop.

With programs like this, Bacon said, “We can influence education around the state, around the country and even around the world.”
