Library reflection space

University of Delaware Library now provides a room for quiet reflection

In response to requests from library users, the University of Delaware Library now provides a room on the northeast corner of the second floor of the Morris Library, Room 233, as a designated reflection space.

The space is intended for brief retreats from studying and users are encouraged to relax, take a moment and clear their minds.

Guidelines for using the space include:

• More than one person may use this space at a time in different ways.

• Electronic devices (cell phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) should not be used in this room.

• The room is intended for reflection; be considerate of others.

• The space is not intended for sleeping or studying or meetings.

• The room may not be reserved for any purpose

The library designated this space with students on campus in mind.

The University’s Center for Counseling and Student Development also provides resources and services to help students manage stress. Visit the website or the office in 261 Perkins Student Center for additional information.

The University Library is always interested in improving facilities and services. Those who have suggestions can contact the vice provost for libraries and museums at lib-vplm@udel.edu.
