There's a new movement on college campuses throughout the nation to provide recovery support for students who have struggled with drug and alcohol use. If you are interested in helping us determine what a recovery community would look like at UD, please email Jessica Estok at jestok@udel.edu and let her know!

Peer Educators

The Pow! Promoters of Wellness are peer educators from Student Wellness & Health Promotion at the University of Delaware. The mission of Pow! is to offer fellow students (1) information promoting wellness and (2) supportive resources for making informed health decisions. Pow! members carry out this mission with educational programs, individual peer consultations, and other services described in more detail on the Services page.

Annual Crime Victims' Tribute & Candlelight Vigil
Delaware State University, MLK Student Center Multi-Purpose Rooms
Speaker: Meredith Gardner Meredith Gardner's mother, Tammy Gardner, was murdered in Wilmington when she tried to escape a domestic violence relationship. Meredith was 12 years old and her brother was 10. Meredith will share how the crime impacted her life, and how meeting with the man who murdered her mother empowered her to pursue a career helping other crime victims. Those affected by crime are invited to bring writings, artwork or other meaningful items to be posted on the Memorial Walls which will be on display at the event. See the flyer. "Party with Consent" with guest speaker Jonathin Kalin

This highly interactive program considers the reality that no students have their college's consent policy memorized. Participants will discuss consent, coersion, hookups, alcohol, sex, and sexual violence prevention. Sponsored by Greek Council, Delaware MEN, and the SAPE Committee.

What's YOUR Monologue?
Bacchus Theater, Perkins Student Center
The student organization VDay, which sponsors & performs The Vagina Monologues annually at UD, has created this event to allow YOU to write & perform your own monologue! If you would like to read your monologue at the event please email it to vdaydelaware@gmail.com no later than Wed 4/22. The event is free but there is a $5 suggested donation to benefit Natasha's Justice Project. Learn more!Co-sponsored by M@N (Men's Action Network).
