Learn to Skate Summer Camp
Dates: June 16-20, 2014 and August 4-8, 2014.
All participants in the UD Learn to Skate Summer Camp must have completed first grade
Under the direction of Angie Cardello, UD Learn to Skate Program Coordinator, this camp will focus on every facet of Figure Skating as well as introducing the basic skills to those who have never skated or taken lessons before. All skill levels welcome!
The camp will ensure everyones development over the five days of training as classes will be designed to meet everyones skating ability. Held in the Fred Rust Arena from June 16-20, 2014 & August 4-8, 2014, the camp will utilize the talents of the local UD skating community, including professional coaches from the UD High Performance Figure Skating Center.
Areas to be covered:
On-Ice classes will focus on strengthening skills to gain more power, speed and fine tuning the technique of jumping and spinning.
Off-Ice classes will focus on strength and conditioning, plyometric training, ballet, stretching as well as interpretation to music
What you will need to bring:
Skates (can also be rented if needed at no additional cost)
Tights (may be purchased in Crystal Sports in arena lobby)
Ballet slippers for ballet or socks
Gloves, mittens, warm layers of clothes
Gym clothes, including, shorts, t-shirt and sneakers
Swim suit, towel, sun screen
Daily lunch (except on Friday)
*Pizza and Drinks will be provided on Friday, JUne 16 & August 8 for lunch

Learn to Skate Camp-Fred Rust Ice Arena
Dates: June 16-20, 2014 and August 5-9, 2014.
Cost: $200 per week/ $150 sibling discount, $370 if you register for both weeks and $320 sibling discount. You MUST register by May 26, 2014 to receive advance registration fee.
Cost: After May 26, 2014 is $230 per person.
