Policies and Procedures

For your child’s safety, children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Program registration is on a first-come-first-served basis. Registrations are accepted by mail, by fax, by online registration, or in person at the informational window of the Rust Ice Arena. If you are mailing your registration send it in no later than one week before the first class. Enrollment is not guaranteed. Registrations over the phone will not be accepted. Registrations will not be accepted if the waiver form is not completed and signed. You will be contacted by an Ice Arenas representative if no space is available in the class. There are no waiting lists for classes! Only the office staff or a Service Representative at the information window is permitted to accept registrations. If paying in cash, be sure to save your receipt as proof of payment.

If you registered online, your refund will be issued to the credit card you used to register online, a check will not be mailed. There is a $20 processing fee for ALLl refunds and a refund form must be completed with supporting documentation. There are no refunds for public sessions, all sales are final.
No credits will be issued for missed classes and no make-up classes will be offered.
Skate rentals for Learn to Skate classes are $2 per person and are not included in the registration fee. All rental fees are paid at the information window in the Rust Arena. Rentals are issued inside the Rust Arena. Once you find skates that fit, ask for the same equipment by the inventory number.
Special Skating Cards Available!
Preferred Skater Card. A University of Delaware preferred skater card is available for $50. This card allows you to skate at any 10 public skating sessions and provides you the chance to win great prizes. All you have to do is bring your card to any public skating session and have it validated as you enter. Once the card is completed your card will be collected and you will automatically be entered to win great prizes. The more preferred cards you complete the more money you will save and the more chances you will have to win.
Skate Rental Card. The skate rental card allows you to rent skates at any public session or Learn To Skate classes throughout the year. This is very beneficial to our Learn To Skate class skaters as you can go directly to the rental counter with your card to get your rental skates. This card is available for only $20 and allows you 10 rentals.
Family discounts are listed in the Fees section of the information for each program. The first registration is at full price. Each additional registration in the same program and within the same family will be offered at the discounted rate.
Private instruction is available during the practice sessions of the Learn-to-Skate program. Students and parents may make arrangements by contacting the instructor of their choice. A list of the instructors and contact information can be obtained by asking the Service Representative at the information window in the Rust Arena or by visiting the Figure Skating Coaches.
