The Hockey Clinics are a great way to work on your skills during the season. These clinics are operated by some of the top professionals in the area.

 

PUCK CONTROL/SKATING HANDLING CLINIC-DECEMBER 26, 2012 (Donna Helgenberg)

Head Coach of Conestoga High School Girl's Varsity Ice Hockey. Donna brings years of experience to the camp. Donna has been coaching for over 20 years and still plays competitive ice hockey. Her clinics are very well received and focus on this day will include: the connection of stick movement with skating stride, stick handling technique and the ability to better carry the puck.

 

ENDURANCE CLINIC-DECEMBER 27, 2012 (GARY IRVING)

One of the most dynamic coaches in the profession, professional skating instructor Gary Irving conducts clinics throughout the country. This day players will utilize their own body weight as well as resistance equipment to strengthen fitness levels. Gary uses parachutes and other endurance tools to strengthen your skating skills and endurance time on the ice. This clinic is ALWAYS a favorite with hockey players at all levels and is highly recommended.

 

POWER SKATING CLINIC-DECEMBER 28, 2012 (Patty DeLisi)

Under the direction of former NHL Power Coach, and UD Staff coach Patty DeLisi  will be running this clinic, and will be covering ~ Blade use ~ Stops, starts, turns ~ Crossovers forward and backward ~ Slow balance and agility drills ~ Speed relating to control ~ Quickness ~ Skill drills / speed drills

Power skating is designed to improve the skating ability of hockey players of all ages. Session uses a combination of drills and instruction to elevate the players' ability to new levels. Skating requires a lot of practice and is more important than all other hockey skills. It must be focused on individually to show significant improvement. This course is an excellent opportunity to improve skating skills.

Cost is $50 for all three days if you register PRIOR to December 3, 2012, $60 starting on December 4, 2012. You can also register for only one clinic, for $25 per clinic.
