Outreach and Student Development
What are Outreach and Student Development Services?
CCSD reaches out to the student body in the form of psychoeducational workshops. Workshops provided by Staff are designed to help students live healthy lifestyles. The Center staff and paraprofessionals regularly provide educational presentations on issues relevant to today's college students. Audiences include residence hall groups, classes, teaching assistants, faculty and staff, and student organizations.
Sample topics include:
Understanding Depression and Suicide
Eating Disorders and Body Image
Career Development and Decision-Making
Clarifying your Values for Career Decision-Making
Signing up for a Workshop
Some workshops require you to sign up ahead of time. Others are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Some are open to anyone, while others are targeted to specific organizations, teams, or groups. In addition to the scheduled workshops below, we can also custom-design a workshop for your particular group.
Request a Program
Contact the CCSD at 302-831-2141 to request a program. Please give at least two weeks notice and more if at all possible. The earlier you make your request, the more likely we are to be able to accommodate you.
