Four-day program in Lewes covers project management essentials, July 12-15

For the third summer, the University of Delaware is offering a four-day professional development course focusing on the essentials of project management. Project Management Boot Camp at the Beach takes place July 12-15 at UD’s Virden Center in Lewes.

Project management tools and techniques are widely used by businesses and organizations to help them organize and plan initiatives, align with strategic objectives, manage tasks and people, and control risks and costs.

This intensive boot-camp style program delivers a critical subset of skills from the Project Management Institute’s PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) Guide, focusing on the day-to-day tools and techniques that can be used in any business or organization to manage large or small projects.

UD students and alumni receive a 15 percent discount when enrolling in this program. Other discounts are available, such as an earlybird discount through June 1.

This program is offered by UD’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies in partnership with Orion Development Group. Additional project management programs offered through Professional and Continuing Studies include a Project Management Professional (PMP) Examination Prep Class and the Project Management Certificate, held this fall in Dover, Newark and Wilmington.
